“As an adult student with four children, I knew (returning to college) would be challenging, but I did not anticipate the roadblocks from most other schools. Cabarrus College of Health Sciences not only removed the roadblocks, but it paved the way for my success.… Cabarrus College makes it easy to further your education.... Cabarrus College really does have it all covered for the adult student.”

“Community paramedics bring the right care to patients at the right location — their homes, where patients want to be. Paramedics love what they do, and this program educates them on topics like disease management, behavioral health and substance abuse, including the care and community resources that can keep patients out of the hospital. It’s good for patients, it’s good for the healthcare system and it’s good for the paramedics, who get to know their patients and provide the kind of care that will improve their lives over the long term. This is the wave of the future and how we will care for patients moving forward.”

“Getting my bachelor's helped me with so many things. It helped me in discipline. It helped me in time management. It helps me with conflict resolution. It taught me computer applications. It taught me different styles of writing. It taught me math. It helped me to be a well-rounded team player for our department. Your associate degree gives you the skills you need to actually complete the task, but your bachelor's gives you the skills you need to become a team and helps you see how the management of the department works as a whole. So, you see it more from a managerial standpoint than you would as the technologist. You need all these things to make it to the next level.”

“Working a full-time job while pursuing my bachelor’s degree wasn’t necessarily easy, but I was able to fit my education in around the rest of my life. I completed my degree just in time to be considered for a manager position at the new cardiac imaging center! Having my bachelor's degree has opened up multiple potential career paths for me and I am excited to see where it takes me!”
